Our Submission Window is NOW OPEN UNTIL JULY 1st

Horseshoe invites submissions from new, emerging, and established writers. Send us your work by July 1 2026. Submissions should include a cover page and brief biographical note. Please note that Horseshoe is published online only. Unfortunately we are not currently in a position to offer remuneration for accepted submissions.

Please send your submission as ONE .doc, Pages, or Google Drive file to submissions@horseshoejournal.ca. Please follow the submission guidelines below.

• Horseshoe welcomes submissions of 1 prose piece (up to 3000 words) or up to 5 poems
• We accept simultaneous submissions but please notify us if your piece is accepted elsewhere.
• We do not publish previously published works: online, digital, or print
• A response by email will take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months
