Our Submission Window is Open Until September 1, 2025.

Horseshoe invites submissions from new, emerging, and established writers. Send us your work by January 15, 2024. Submissions should include a cover page and brief biographical note. Your prose or poetry should not include any identifying markers (to facilitate the blind review process). Please note that Horseshoe is published online and in ebook format. Unfortunately we are not currently in a position to offer remuneration for accepted submissions.

Please send your submission as ONE .doc, Pages, or Google Drive file to submissions@horseshoejournal.ca. Please follow the submission guidelines below.

• Horseshoe welcomes submissions of 1 prose piece (up to 3000 words) or up to 5 poems
• We accept simultaneous submissions but please notify us if your piece is accepted elsewhere.
• We do not publish previously published works: online, digital, or print
• A response by email will take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months
